Heraklion Photo Tour – Half day Workshop
The Heraklion Photo Tour –Workshop is an excellent way to know the city and the locals.
Discover the secrets of the city of Heraklion, invisible details to the untrained eyes. You will learn useful tips and capture stunning images like a pro.
We start our day from the prominent statue of Eleftherios Venizelos (the most famous prime minister of Greece) that dominates one of the most visited places of the city, the Eleftheria’s square (LIBERTY SQUARE). We will walk from the past to the future and start our tour with the Venetian walls which are the largest fortifications of Heraklion. We will also have a stop for photo-shooting is at the grave of Crete’s most acclaimed 20th century writer Nikos Kazantzakis, with the world known epitaph that reads ‘’I hope for nothing. I fear nothing. I am free.’’
Next walk through two of the busiest places of the city, the market and the fish market, allowing us to focus and capture the pulse of the city through our lens. We will stop at Lions Square in the centre of Heraklion, the meeting point of all the locals.
As the day follows, we walk along Koules fortress, port side area. The most familiar and beloved monuments of the city and the symbol of Heraklion which is still haunted by legends that support that Cretan rebels were horribly tortured in its damp, dark rooms.
This idea of the photo tour – workshop is to have daily photo shoots that we can discuss with a professional photographer & and an architect who will help you collect your photo album for a lifetime. Moments, places and environment will be the best adventure of your stay in Heraklion.
