What is ISIC?
It is the International Student Identity Card.
It was established in Denmark, in 1968, it is issued in over 100 countries. ISIC is endorsed by UNESCO.

For whom is it?
ISIC is for all of you who are full time students in Greece or abroad.

What's to gain?
The International Student Identity Card is cooperating with Travel Agencies, Cultural Institutions and commercial businesses in Greece and abroad offering discounts for:
Air tickets, transportation means, museums, exchange bureaus, gyms, camping, commercial shops e.t.c.

What does ISIC offers you?

>	Many things! First of all it provides you with an internationally recognised certificate of your student status.
>	Through the ISIC Help Line, you have the capability to make a phone call from any place in the world (No Charge), to get free travel information, guidance on what to do if you lose your tickets, medica or legal advice. All you have to do is to call (+44) 20 8 762 8110 via the telephone provider of the country you are.
>	ISIC Connect gives you the ability to use ISIC as a telephone card for international calls saving up to 70%, free e-mail, voice mail services e.t.c. (learn how!)

ISIC Benefit Guide

With the issuance of ISIC 2004 you get for free the "ISIC benefit guide". The guide includes all the discounts you are eligible to as owners of the ISIC, in 106 countries in all over the world.

In total, you will find 28.000 discounts for air flights, transportations, ferries, museums, residence, restaurants, shopping and entertainment, as well as special privileges you get for being students abroad.

How to get your own ISIC?

The only thing you need is a studies certificate for the current academic year, a photograph of you and your personal ID.
The card is issued on the spot and for the year 2006 the annual subscription is

€ 15.

You are not a student?

If you are not a student but you are up to 26 years old, then the International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) is the card for you! IYTC offers similar privileges and facilitations to the ISIC card.
